To a team that made it happen
I give God the glory for the wonderful work done in putting up this magazine. It was a great blessing to my soul and a time of refreshing indeed.
The placement of the article 'Love without measure' was quite strategic & as I perused through the wordings of the article, I was deeply touched. A high point that drew my attention was that `Love cares for others more than self`. It was a part of the article I could not pass without pausing and meditating on. In Stephen Covey's own words (Seven habits of highly effective people), he puts it as "Seek first to understand and then to be understood." A subject on love is really needed in our world today.
On: 'Because we have a divine nature', I must sincerely comment the writer. He uses adjectives quite well; his descriptive sense is keen. That means his write up is full of life. You can picture the events - the message sinks better.
'A Letter to God's Ministers' is not left out - the aspect that touched my core was the highlight that our differences need not be considered evil and we should focus on our strengths rather.
The Cartoons showed a high level of ingenuity. A writer rightly said: 'A picture is worth a thousand words.'
On the article by Olakunle Soriyan, Welcome to the future, it was a great exposure. It is a wake-up call to the black man.
...On the Law of Orderliness, ... It was really a blessing to my soul. The principles were spelt out and put in an easy to understand way.
Generally I would also comment on the use of references combined with inspiration. Agreed that the Bible is the greatest reference book, but hear what the man who wrote more than half of the new testament said 'The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments (2Timothy 4:13)' He also said 'Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.' I really commend the use of references in the articles.
Also the combination of articles that made up Today's Lifeline was so designed to address a wide variety of people. The youth, the single, the married, the aged, all formed part of the target audience.
The Editing team did a very wonderful job. In fact I consider editing and typesetting as some of the crucial points of printed pages. It is like cooking a good dish of beans with some pebbles of stones in it.
To wrap it up, this edition is wonderful, it bears the touch of excellence.
My sincere prayer from my heart is that these articles reach the hungering souls; that it finds its way into the darkness in the hearts of men and shines the light of the gospel; that it locates men in danger awaiting deliverance; that it goes far into the prison house of darkness to liberate men. That truly it becomes a Lifeline - a succour in the time of trouble.
